Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA

Named in honor of civil rights leaders and Atlanta icons Ambassador Andrew Young and Dr. Walter Young, the Andrew & Walter Young Family YMCA has been serving the communities of East Point, College Park, Hapeville, and West End since 1959. Formerly known as the Southwest Y, it was one of the first YMCA locations in Atlanta and has remained a trusted community resource for more than 60 years.

Through programs focused on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, the Y helps individuals and families learn, grow, and thrive. From swim lessons and water safety education to day camp, afterschool programs, group exercise classes, community wellness initiatives, and hunger relief efforts, the Andrew & Walter Young Family YMCA provides opportunities for people of all ages to reach their full potential.

By partnering with local organizations and businesses, the Y expands access to programs and services that strengthen the community and support the well-being of those it serves.
