At the YMCA of Metro Atlanta, we collaborate with organizations that share our commitment to strengthening communities and improving lives through measurable outcomes. Through strategic partnerships, we work together to create opportunities for children, teens, families, and individuals to thrive.
Strategic Partnerships
The YMCA and Strategic Partners work together to achieve mutual long-term goals and objectives; these partnerships are coordinated by Association representatives.
In a Strategic Partnership with Morehouse School of Medicine, the YMCA not only operates an on-site wellness center, the YMCA and Morehouse will work together to develop research-based programs to combat chronic diseases among underserved communities leveraging each organization’s strengths and areas of expertise.
Corporate Volunteer Partnerships
A Corporate Volunteer Partner is a business, corporation or organization that is aligned with the mission of the YMCA and partners to provide support in the form of volunteers (employees) or sponsorship.
Gas South is a long-standing corporate volunteer partner of the YMCA. Not only has Gas South sponsored several STEAM labs and projects across multiple YMCA locations, Gas South employees also volunteer with the YMCA regularly, including, afterschool support, beautification and board service.
Community Enrichment Partnerships
A Community Enrichment Partner is a partnership wherein an organization or agency offers programming or services onsite at a YMCA branch or program facility for YMCA members or program participants.
The University of Georgia Extension is an example of an Enrichment Partner as the organization provided educational support to the Tull-Gwinnett Family YMCA through its new community garden.
