Resilient Communities, Safer Youth
Join the YMCA of Metro Atlanta and Sandy Hook Promise for an important session exploring trauma, technology, and the role trusted adults play in young people’s lives. Parents, caregivers, coaches, and mentors will learn how to:
- Build trauma-informed awareness and understand how trauma can shape behavior and brain development
- Recognize social media’s impact on self-esteem, anxiety, and risky behaviors
- Identify behavioral, emotional, and verbal warning signs of suicide and connect young people with help
