Additional YMCA Hunger Relief Efforts

Westside Assistance

Working with partners, next week the Y will begin serving as a packing location to prepare food bags that will be delivered to 250 seniors and their families living in the 30314 zip code, one of Atlanta’s most in-need communities.

Partnership with Atlanta Community Food Bank

A mobile food pantry model will begin at five of our Y branches on a weekly or monthly basis, details and dates to be determined once ACFB confirms food supply and we get the childcare centers up and running.

Northeast Cobb YMCA & Marietta School District / Marietta City Schools Partnership

Northeast Y Cobb is a delivery site for the Atlanta Community Food Bank (note the school district is ordering the food).  Every Wednesday 10 pallets of food are delivered to the Y branch and volunteers make 250 bags.  Marietta Schools pick up these bags on Monday and Tuesday and deliver it to school district families with their lunch.

Cobb YMCA & Mt. Paran North Church Partnership
