ATLANTA (September 27, 2010) The Northwest Cobb Family YMCA is recognizing Ross Olhausen as its 2010 volunteer of the year. Olhausen will be honored at the YMCA of Metro Atlanta annual volunteer recognition dinner Monday, November 8, 2010, at the Cobb Galleria Centre. Olhausen first became involved in the Y as a child, and now is serving in his eighth year as a Y volunteer. He is the head coach of a select soccer team and regularly assists in various areas of the Northwest Y soccer program. In addition to his Y volunteer work, Olhausen is principal of Tools Direct and is involved in his church orchestra and a jazz band. He and his wife reside in Kennesaw and have three children. The Y is a powerful association of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn grow and connect. |
