Cherokee Y Camp

Brief History
Cherokee Y Camps were established in Woodstock, GA in the Spring of 1992 at the Cherokee Outdoor Family YMCA. With an average summer attendance of 1,500 campers, the Y has had the privilege of sharing positive values, and of course fun, to over 27,000 campers.

Our goal is to share a positive summer camping experience to children starting at age 5, watch them grow and learn, and see them move onto young adulthood at the age of 15. We pride ourselves in nurturing our youth and providing our teens with tools that allow them to be productive leaders within our community.

In 2005, Cherokee Y Camps branched out by opening Summer Camp at the G. Cecil Pruett Family YMCA. This thriving camp, located in Canton, GA, focuses on 5-10 year olds and provides another camp option for the growing communities in Cherokee County. Whether you are in the north or the south part of Cherokee, Y Camp has a location for youth to have fun and be safe.

While youth are learning, growing and having fun, parents have peace of mind that their children are well taken care of. We hope that you choose Cherokee Y Camp as your summer camp destination.
