After School

PRIME TIME AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
Our after school program, Prime Time, is designed to offer students in grades K-5 many opportunities for intellectual, physical and social development. Children take part in a wide variety of group and individual activities including homework time, snack time (snacks provided), crafts, art, and organized games. We offer a quality program that includes planned activities to complement the school experience. Our highest goal is a warm, safe, caring atmosphere for the children. Prime Time begins as soon as the participants enter our site and continues until 6:30 p.m. Our program operates on site every day that school is in session. If school is closed due to inclement weather, the Prime Time program is also closed. On school breaks and holidays, we will be offering full day programs at an alternate site. These full day activities will have an additional fee.
Enrollment information may be picked up at the YMCA office or mailed to you upon request. Enrollment is on a first-come, first served basis and spaces are limited. As with all YMCA programs, financial assistance is available based on need. This assistance is limited and dispersed on a first-come, first served basis. Forms are available at the YMCA office.

Staffing
The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta seeks to employ only qualified, trained and experienced staff. We work in collaboration with local school administrators to employ recruiting teachers and Para-professionals as an integral part of the Prime Time Staff Team. Satisfactory criminal background checks are required for all staff prior to employment.
Ratio
The YMCA Prime Time Program operates on a 1:15 staff to student ratio.
Affordable Fees and Assistance Program
The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta raises scholarship subsidies to support the Metro Atlanta YMCA Child Care Program (i.e., United Way, Partner With Youth, Government Grants and Endowment). The sliding fee scale is available to families who are income eligible and making direct payments for child care services.

The slots at the various levels are contingent upon the availability of funds.
Check with the branch for more details.
