Make a difference in someone's life and invest in the Partner With Youth campaign. At the Y, Partner With Youth is the umbrella for all fundraising activities. Pairing the YMCA's resources with community needs allows you to give to programs and services that matter most to you – causes that are close to your heart. Your charitable contribution can impact the life of an underserved pre-school child, an idle teenager, a deserving single parent, or an isolated senior adult. Whether you give to the annual campaign, to a building campaign or to the endowment fund, you can make an imact.

• $110 allows a child to enjoy one week of summer day camp
• $43 provides a one month membership for an active older adult
• $65 builds a young persons self-esteem by joining a youth sports program

Donors can designate gifts to programs benefiting Adult Education, After School, At-Risk Youth, Day Camp, Health & Wellness, Pre-School, Resident Camp, or Youth Sports.

The YMCA has lasted in a world where so much comes and goes quickly. The Metro Atlanta Y is stable, values-based, professionally managed, in touch with public sentiment, and capable of meeting the changing conditions and needs of the future. The YMCA is a gift we received – that was here when we were born. It is a gift we should give to those still unborn to perpetuate values that really matter.

F riends of the YMCA help to extend its influence beyond their own lifetimes with gifts of assets they accumulated. Such gifts can be directed to support the overall work of the YMCA or can be designated to support a specific YMCA branch or program.

The nation’s tax laws provide incentives that encourage philanthropy, recognizing the role charitable organizations (including the YMCA) play in meeting important, society needs. Depending on the specific arrangement, you can expect some or all of the following benefits of a well-designed gift to the YMCA:

• Income tax saving through the charitable deduction for the value of the gift;
• Avoidance of the capital-gains tax on contributions of certain kinds of property that have increased in value over time;                       
• Income for life, for a donor and/or other beneficiaries;
• The possibility of increased, spendable income with certain arrangements;
• Elimination of federal estate tax on the value of a gift passing to the YMCA upon the donor’s death;
• Reduced estate settlement costs.
