The Need:  Welfare reform forces more struggling families to rely on earnings from low-paying jobs.

The Benefit:  The YMCA partners with employers throughout the metro area to educate, train and place under-employed heads of households to better equip them to care for their families.

You can help... pave the way to self-sufficiency for un- and under-employed program participants with job training and placement assistance by...

• supplementing child care cost for a parent attending job training and professional development classes - $100
• providing one computer station per adult to update computer skills for participants - $1,500
