Have A Question?

Why give to the Y?  In 2004 the Metro Atlanta YMCA provided financial assistance for more than 17,900 children, families, and adults, enabling them to benefit from Y programs like child care, Head Start, camp, youth sports, and teen development.

Is the Y tax exempt?   Yes. The Metro Atlanta YMCA is exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and contributions are tax deductible to the extent of the law.

Can I designate a gift to a specific branch or program?  Of course! Your philanthropic goals are important to us. Just let us know which branch and/or program is nearest and dearest to your heart, and we'll make sure your contribution is allocated accordingly.

 question

Does the YMCA accept gifts in honor of, or in memory of, a family member, loved one or friend?  Absolutely.  If you wish to make an honorary or memorial donation, we will send personalized cards acknowlegding the gift to the recipient or appropriate family members.

Are there other ways to give to the YMCA? Sure. Gifts of stock, appreciated assets, charitable trusts, or gift annuities provide other options for investing in the Y.  For additional information click here, or contact our Financial Development Office to learn more, (404) 588-9622.
