We have received numerous inquiries regarding children wearing Carver YMCA basketball jerseys and soliciting funds from motorists on the highway. This is not the fundraising method for the YMCAs in Atlanta. We hold an annual fundraising campaign once a year in the spring to raise funds for scholarships for youth. These teens are NOT authorized by the YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta. Due to their nomadic activities, they continue to solicit funds by approaching individuals. We are frustrated because this is a continual problem. Please do NOT contribute to these young people, and we strongly encourage you to notify the police when you see them.

The Villages at Carver Family YMCA just hosted a Major League Baseball Players' Trust clinic this Saturday, October 10 from 12-3pm. Over 200 children came out to learn the fundamentals of the game with pros like Brian Jordan, Chris Chambliss and Michael Devereaux. Check out some pics of the event!
