2010 Season Schedule

Join our league! Flag Football is now offered for kids 5-12 years old at the South DeKalb Family YMCA. Registration is open for boys and girls. In our program, participants will learn the fundamentals, the plays, and the rules of flag football: a sport that stresses fun and safety. Everyone has the opportunity to play on teams that are fun for the participants because the emphasis is on teamwork, character development, and enjoying the game!

Directions to Fields:

Patillo Park #1 (On the corner of Mountain Industrial and E. Ponce de Leon)

• Take 78 towards Stone Mountain
• Take the Mountain Industrial Blvd./Tucker exit
• At the top of the ramp, turn right onto Mountain Industrial Blvd.
• Go about a quarter mile and the park will be on the right, directly across the street from the corner gas station.
• The fields are enclosed by an "L" shaped perimeter fence. The entrance to the park is facing Mountain Industrial Blvd.

About Our Youth Sports Program  

The Primary Goal of the Youth Sports Program is to promote the best skill development possible for your child.  Our experienced staff has the training and coaching knowledge necessary to understand the soccer/basketball/cheerleading development characteristics essential for providing the stimulating learning experience they deserve.

The South DeKalb Family YMCA offers youth sports for all ages beginning at 3 years old.  Basketball and Soccer are co-ed programs, open to all youth, and offered throughout the year. We now offer a new Flag Football League in the summer. What sets the South DeKalb Family YMCA youth sports program apart from others is our philosophy of “building winners for life”. Our emphasis is on character building. These programs are tools for building successful relationships between children and adults.
