Gymnastics
(Ages 18months-12) |

The Canton Family YMCA offers a variety of youth gymnastics and ballet classes. Come and have a tumbling
good time with our staff. The gymnastics and ballet staff are here to provide a safe and learning environment
for your child. Our program is designed to teach children gymnastics or ballet skills, self confidence, character
development values, and good sportsmanship. Fees are based on one child, one day a week and for one
session. Each session is 6 weeks long. We must have at least 4 students in order to have the class.

This is a 30 minute parent assisted class. This is designed to start your wee ones rolling and tumbling. We will introduce them to very basic gymnastics skills, body movements and body coordination. Your child with a parents assistance will get the opportunity to play/practice on several pieces of the gymnastic equipment.
This is for 18 months to 3 years.
Tuesday Mornings: 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM

This is a 45 minute non-parent assisted . This will introduce your child to the basic gymnastic skills, several gymnastics venues such as balance beam, floor, vault and tumble track. The is specifically designed to enhance body awareness, balance, coordination, core strength and self - confidence.
This is for 3 - 5 year olds.
Tuesday Evenings: 4:30 PM – 5:15 PM

This is a 60 minute non-parent assisted class. This will introduce your child to the basic gymnastic skills, several gymnastics venues such as uneven bars, parallel bars, balance beam, floor, vault and tumble track. The is specifically designed to enhance body awareness, balance, coordination, core strength and self - confidence.
This is for 6 -12 year olds.
Tuesday Evening: 5:30 PM-6:30 PM
Saturday Morning: 8:15AM-9:00 AM

This is a 60 minute class. Progressive Competition Gymnastics is set up for students to learn basic gymnastics, to advance the skills that they have already learned, and to prepare them for AAU gymnastics competition. This is designed for the gymnast who has the basic knowledge of forward rolls, cartwheels, backward rolls, hand stands and round offs. They do not have to be perfect but must be able to perform skills unassisted. If students can not perform these skills they will not be allowed to stay in this class.
Ages 5 years and 12.

Membership
You can register for programs as a Facility or Program Only Member. Facility Members pay monthly dues and receive both unlimited access to all Metro Atlanta YMCAs and discounted rates on programs. Program Only Members pay a yearly registration fee of $35 plus the Program Rate per YMCA program.
