Parents Morning Out at the YMCA |
Looking for somewhere to put your little one while you run some errands? The G. Cecil Pruett Community Center Family YMCA ‘s Wee Y program is the perfect place. Activities include story time, arts & crafts, playground time, recreational play, music and movement and snack.

when Cherokee County Schools are out on break.

Enjoy a night out while the little ones enjoy a night of fun at the Y from 6 - 10pm! Parents night out is available for children
13 months (must be steady walkers. If not independent walker, please wait to register.) - 12 years old. Children 6 - 12
years may bring their swimsuit and a towel to go swimming. To reserve your spot(s) please sign up at the registration
desk, and provide payment.

Creative Dance & Movement
(Ages 3-10) |

Creative Movement and Dance is committed to quality dance training, taught by the most talented dance teachers
in the south. They enjoy working with children and welcome parents to observe at any time. The classes are
structured, yet flexible to meet the needs of the children participating.

Tap & Ballet Ages 3-5 years
This 45 minute class is divided with 20 minutes of tap and 25 minutes of ballet. The technical
training is taught through ballet which in turn helps teach the proper shifting of weight and
patterns in movement for tap. All dance is taught to fun YMCA appropriate music.
Dress: Girls will need a pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers and black tap shoes.
Long hair should be pulled away from the face.
Thursdays 4:15-5:00p

Jazz/Hip-Hop Ages 5-10 years
This exciting 45 minute class offers a wide range of fun and up-beat movements. Children
will learn discipline, coordination, left and right skills, patterns in movement and basic jazz dance technique.
Children will be exposed to lyrical, Broadway and popular styles of dance using fun age-appropriate music.
Dress: Girls will need to wear black Capri length stretch pants and tennis shoes. No skirts or blue jeans
please. Long hair should be pulled away from the face.
