Missions: Costa Rica (not available in 2011)

SALT Team Mission Costa Rica is a life leadership course focused on Service,
Adventure, Leadership and Technical skills located in Central America. Join us as we
experience a culture rich in traditions and wildlife. From canopy tours, to hiking
volcanoes, surfing on the white sand beaches and everything in between, Costa Rica will
be an experience of a lifetime. We will leave our mark by serving the community with
nature restoration, vocational work and different youth projects. Don’t miss out on

• Service: By giving of your time, talent and energy to increase the quality of life of
another, you are a servant leader. We will help to increase the quality of life in Costa
Rica through vocational work, nature restoration, working with youth, and other service
projects.

• Adventure: Seize the day! Work hard and play hard! Join us as we travel to active
volcanoes, beautiful waterfalls, historic national parks, beaches on the pacific coasts and
much more.


• Leadership: Leadership is caught, not taught! Your SALT experience will help to
equip you to make the right decisions at home, in school, at your Church, and in your
community. You will actively participate in daily leadership classes and devotions that
teach the person and character of Jesus Christ.

• Technical: As a team, we will work within the community on a variety of projects that
will build our knowledge of Costa Rica. Light construction work, many games and
hands-on activities will help to increase our abilities and skills in a foreign country.
These skills will help the young leaders build self-confidence and life-long skills.
