Programs available at Lake Burton:

Pathfinders
This is our general camp program. Pathfinders are boys and girls ages 7-14.  Pathfinders will have the opportunity to participate in one of many activities offered. The activities include water-skiing, horseback riding, archery, arts and crafts, canoeing, kayaking and much more.  Pathfinders also participate in Adventure Day, a day trip out of camp. Read more about Pathfinders.

Day Camp
For boys and girls 5 -9 years of age (this is a change), the Day Camp Program provides a great first step to the resident camp.  Campers will enjoy all the activities of the resident camp but at a pace younger campers can endure. Day Campers will have excited and trained Day Camp Staff to guide them through the day.  Day Camp operates Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at our Lake Burton site.  Read more about Day Camp.

Trailblazers
This program is design for our older campers 13 - 17 years of age. Trailblazers is an adventure program designed to challenge the older campers by providing unique challenges such as rock climbing, rappelling, hiking, caving, and white-water rafting. This program is a great way for teenagers to learn new skills and the value of teamwork. Staff work with the campers to process each activity by providing feedback and information that can help promote a positive self-image and increase self-confidence. Read more about Trailblazers.

Watersports and Water safety
Boys and girls, ages 12-14, spend all their class time on the waterfront. Campers are exposed to new water activities and are instructed in boating and basic water safety. Watersports campers are instructed in every water sport activity. Their schedule, other than class time, is in step with the Pathfinders. Campers are closely supervised and instructed by program directors and counselors. Read more about Watersports.

Advanced Leadership Camp
This program is for the young person who is ready to take that first step in leadership. All 14-16 year olds will be exposed to two weeks of hands-on, highly interactive leadership training. Your future leader will learn everything from personal presentation skills to peer leadership to leading small groups. Leader in Training
This program is for the young person who is ready to take the next giant leap in leadership. All 15 -17 year- olds will be actively using their servant leadership skills. The LIT has been called the “backbone” of High Harbour. They are the first to get up in the morning and the last to go to sleep. As a team, the LITs serve campers every moment of the day with encouragement, leading activities and even washing their dishes!
