Standing Out: “Zach is our youngest board member and is an advisor to the Leaders Club. He consistently places the needs of campers and staff before his own personal priorities,” says Pam Young of the Fayette Family YMCA.

Hooked: “It only took one day as a summer camp counselor to get hooked. I was immediately involved with something remarkable: in its simplest form, making a difference in the lives of others. It didn’t take long for me to realize the significance in what I was doing.”

How I See It: “The Y is a group of dedicated individuals geared toward providing a positive environment for families, children and parents. The Y provides quality programs that help shape the lives of others, build character and develop the necessary leadership skills of emerging high school students to advance their futures.”

Y Volunteer: “I continue to volunteer because I want to make a difference, and I honestly see that even the smallest gesture can hold such significance with someone. I know the Y continues to make a difference within communities. Through volunteering I hope to instill a similar desire in others to want to help and serve.”
