Community Development Focus on Forsyth Focus on Forsyth : MISSION: To provide needed on-site, hands-on assistance for low-income families and seniors in need in the Forsyth County Community. Depending on need, projects can be one or many of the following type efforts:
For the most part, volunteers are required to bring their own tools for the project they will be supporting. Examples: If you’re doing yard work then you’d be required to bring your own mower, weed-eater, blower, gas for aforementioned, gloves, safety glasses, etc. and if you were building a wheelchair ramp you would be required to bring saw(s), hammer(s), electrical cord(s), etc. Actual materials for projects will be furnished by YMCA, however we are always receptive to and do accept in-kind donations for such materials. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITES: You can volunteer as a group, family or as an individual. If you would like to volunteer to assist with above noted projects for low-income seniors and families in the Forsyth County community, please call Jerry Dupree at 404-803-8899 or Email at jerryd@ymcaatlanta.org
