Youth Sports

In YMCA sports, every child is a winner.  Everyone plays in every game regardless of ability.  The program includes progressive leagues- Rookies and Winners each develope to meet the needs of growing and maturing young people.  All coaches are volunteers.  Parents are encouraged to assist in practice and games to promote the parent-child relationship.  There are no try-outs, no bench warmers and practices are just one day a week.

The East Lake Family YMCA offers a developmental league: learning basic skills, enjoyment of playing and sportsmanship will be the focus.  Character Development Values of Respect, Caring, Responsibility, and Honesty will be displayed at all times by the players, coaches, and parents.

Girls and Boys ages 4 to 16

Basketball practice:   Begins November 30th, All practices are 45 minutes to 1 hour long.
Games start:                January 2nd ,Last Game ends at 2:00pm

Fees:  Metro Membership - $65, *Program Membership - $90
(*with annual program membership $25 individual or $35 family - 2 or more children)

Fees include reversible uniforms

Soccer

Girls and Boys ages 4 to 12

Fall soccer practice:   Begins the week of August 25th, All practices are 1 hour long
Games start:                September 13th - October 25th,Last Game ends at 2:00pm

Fees:  Metro Membership - $65, Program Membership - $85 (with annual program membership $25 individual or $35 family - 2 or more children)
