Programs

The Cherokee Outdoor YMCA offers a variety of programs that promote our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.  Programs at the Cherokee Outdoor Family YMCA help build strong kids, strong families and strong communities.

Fall Soccer is offered for ages 3 - 13.  Ages 3 - 9 practice and play at the YMCA or at our new location at Riverside Athletic Complex at J.J. Biello Park.  Ages 10 - 13 practice and play at Johnston Elementary School on East Cherokee Drive.  We have two new age leagues (U5 & U7) this season.  Registration for fall soccer starts early this year so beat the rush and sign up now. 

Spring Soccer  is offered for ages 3 - 13.  Ages 3 - 9 practice and play at the YMCA  or our other location at Riverside Athletic Complex at J.J. Biello Park.  Ages 10 - 13 practice and play at Johnston Elementary School on East Cherokee Drive.   Registration for fall soccer begins in July.

Baseball and T-Ball is offered for ages 4 - 9. All teams are co-ed. All practices and games are held at the Cherokee Outdoor Family YMCA on E. Bells Ferry Road. 

Basketball& Cheerleading is offered for ages 4 - 13. Please note our new location at Heritage Presbyterian Church on Bells Ferry Road.

Breakfast with Santa Come join us in December. Have breakfast and then sit with Santa and tell him what you would like for Christmas. 

Indoor Soccer is offered for ages 6 - 13. All games and practices are held at Johnston Elementary on East Cherokee Drive off Highway 5.

Soccer Clinics are offered for ages *5 -13. All soccer clinics are held at Johnston Elementary School on East Cherokee Drive and are hosted by International Soccer Clinics USA. *Age 5 is for half days only.

Summer Day Camp is available for children ages 4-15. Children participate in exciting activities such as horseback riding, water skiing, canoeing, Science camp, and many more. Summer Day Camp starts the first week after Cherokee schools close until the week before they resume. 

 School Break Camps are offered for children ages 5-12. School break camps are provided during Holiday breaks determined by the Cherokee County Board of Education school calendar. Fun themes from "Pirate Monday" to "Lazy Luau" Friday are offered each day. Sign up for a day or the whole week.

December Themes

 Summer Aquatics program offers families some quality time together at the pool and canoeing/ kayaking on Lake Allatoona with our Family Branch Membership. Swimming lessons are also offered, starting with our Parent-Tot program for ages six months - three years. Choose Pike lessons for your beginner, age three-five, Polliwog for your beginner, age six and up. For your intermediate swimmer, ages three and up, choose Eel, for your intermediate swimmer, age six and up, choose Guppy. Program registration begins in February. Swim Levels and Prerequistes
