Nothing makes Jane smile more than seeing children’s faces light up when they are having fun at the Cherokee Outdoor Family YMCA. "The Y has such a diverse group of people". says Jane. "There’s something for everyone, and everyone has the opportunity to make memories at the Y.”
Like so many other volunteers, Jane was introduced to the Y by a friend, Glenda Hinton, six years ago. Jane chairs the Partner With Youth Campaign and is past chair of community gifts for the annual campaign. “Jane is the epitome of an outstanding board member and contributor”, says Toby Bramblett, branch executive director.
In addition to volunteering at the Y, Jane is heavily involved with her children’s schools, Hickory Flat United Methodist Church , and other nonprofits. She and her husband, Bill, live in Woodstock. They have three children: Sandy, 13; Michael, 13; and Will, 20.
See how devoted Jane truly is in a one on one interview.

The Cherokee Outdoor Family YMCA has been called "one of Cherokee County's best kept secrets" by the Cherokee Tribune. The Y is nestled on 225 acres on Lake Allatoona - just off Bells Ferry Road. You will find summer day camp, youth soccer, educational programs, swim instruction, and more at the Cherokee Outdoor Family YMCA. Check out all we have to offer.
The activities at the Cherokee Outdoor Family YMCA are tools used to accomplish the mission and achieve the vision of building strong kids, strong families, strong communities and reinforce the four core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility into all of the programs offered.

Your YMCA, reflecting its Judeo-Christian heritage, is an association of volunteers, members and staff, open to and serving all,
providing programs and services which develop spirit, mind, and body. Financial assistance is available based on need. The YMCA actively
seeks to identify and involve those in need.
