Mighty Mites (Ages 3-5) - Sessions 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 
This is a half day camp (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) allows campers to learn and explore new and exciting themes each week while making new friends. Themes will include letters, numbers, colors, and shapes. Each week children will be introduced to various sports to aid in coordination skills & working with a team. They will also be able to beat the summer heat with some time in the sprinkler!Children must be potty trained!    No pre and post camp for this camp.
Facility Members: $90/week * Program Members: $110/week

Dance Camp (AGES 3-5) - Sessions 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 
This half-day camp (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) incorporates different aspects of dance.  Games are also used to develop ability.  No previous dance experience required.  Children must be potty trained.  No pre or post camp for this camp.
Facility Members: $110/week * Program Members: $130/week

Splash Camp (AGES 5-8) - Sessions 1-9
A camp designed for all things aquatic. This camp, for our younger swimmers, will build a foundation of water safety with lessons on swimming, boating and protection from the sun. A great way for your camper to get wet and beat the summer heat! Other weekly activities include arts & crafts, camp games and songs.  

Facility Members: $150/week * Program Members: $175/week

Gymnastics Camp (AGES 5-12) - Sessions 1-8
This camp will cover all gymnastics events, with emphasis on form, strength, flexibility, and skills.  Campers will be split into two groups according to age, 5-8 and 9-12.  Swimming, field games, camp songs,  and arts & crafts will also be a part of the fun!
Facility Members: $145/week * Program Members: $165/week

Day Camp (AGES 5-10) - All Sessions
Day Camp gives campers the opportunity to explore the outdoors, learn new skills, and make new friends in a caring, supervised environment. Weekly activities include swimming, arts & crafts, camp games and songs. Day Camp will be divided into ages 5-6 and 7-10.
Facility Members: $135/week * Program Members: $150/week

Junior Sports Camp (AGES 5-6) - All Sessions
Former and current players will teach and administer skill-building games. Campers will work on different sports throughout each week.  Fundamentals, rules and technique will be emphasized. Campers will be able to put their skills to the test by playing the sports they've learned throughout the week! Everything is done in a fun and relaxed environment.  We will also enjoy other camp activities, such as swimming, arts and crafts, and games.

Sports Camps (AGES 7-12) - See Session List Below
Former and current players will teach and administer skill-building games.  Campers learn and sharpen their skills in these sport specific camps.  Fundamentals, rules and technique will be emphasized in the early part of the week, and playing the sport at the end of the week.  Everything is done in a fun and relaxed environment.  We will also enjoy other camp activities, such as swimming, arts and crafts, and games.

Aquatics Camp (AGES 7-12) - Sessions 10-13
This is a fun and innovative camp designed to improve strokes technique through games, drills and skill activities.  Arts & crafts, field games, and other camp activities will be incorporated as well.  Campers must be able to swim 25 yards performing the crawl stroke and backstroke.

Cheerleading Camp (AGES 5-12) - Sessions 9-13
Current and former cheerleaders and tumblers will teach campers tumbling skills, cheerleading styles and focus on proper form and technique. Campers will be split into two groups according to age, 5-8 and 9-12. Each week the campers will have the opportunity to show off their new skills either at one of our assemblies or sporting events! Everything is done in a fun and relaxed environment.  We will also enjoy other camp activities, such as swimming, arts and crafts, and games.

Music Camp (AGES 10-14) - Sessions 2-3 & 7-8
Video Production Camp (AGES 10-14) - Sessions 5-6 & 9-10
Does your child have a passion for music and technology?  We are offering the best camp in music and computers around town!  This new and innovative technology camp will allow children to learn the basic skills of music production/recording, television broadcasting and graphic design.  Campers will be involved but not limited to: recording their own instrumentals and vocals, recording and editing videos and making their own CD and DVD covers. This camp is being offered in two-week sessions so that each child will fully grasp all concepts and ideas and apply that knowledge in the future.  Campers will also be given music/video lessons in a small ratio setting and will enjoy other camp activities such as swimming, arts and crafts and games. Spaces are limited.
Facility Members: $340/Two-week session * Program Members: $385/Two-week session


Travel Camp (AGES 11-14) - All Sessions
Campers journey beyond the YMCA.  The week will consist of such events as Stone Mountain, Lake Lanier, Putt-Putt, a day of sports, Skating, Swimming, and more!!!
Facility Members: $175/week * Program Members: $200/week

TENATIVE Travel Camp Schedule 2010

Babysitting (AGES 11-14) - Sessions 6, 9, 11
Become an American Red Cross Certified Babysitter!  Learn how to be a safe and responsible babysitter in this week-long camp.  Students will learn about basic care, first aid and the business of babysitting. 
Facility Members: $145/week * Program Members: $165/week


Counselors In Training  (AGES 14-16) - Application Required - All Sessions
Learn the ins and outs of being a camp counselor.  CITs will learn about games for kids, organization skills, teaching techniques, and basic first aid.  Participants must complete an application and interview process before being selected to serve as a CIT. Do not register for this camp unless you have filled out an application and been in contact with Alverez Stampley. You may contact Alverez, our Teen Director, at alverezs@ymcaatlanta.org or 770-451-9622.

CITs must attend 1 week of training and a minimum of 3 work weeks.  There are 2 weeks of the summer that are called "Fun Weeks". During that week, the CITs will take an excursion as a fun retreat.
