Programs Current Program Guide Aquatics— YMCA aquatics programs promote good health through regular exercise. In addition to providing specific swimming and water safety skills, they promote self-confidence and teamwork. Also available: masters swimming, water aerobics, arthritis and multiple sclerosis exercise, pool parties, private swim lessons, CPR/AED training, and lifeguard training.
Child Care — YMCA child care provides licensed quality care for children and is the largest provider of licensed child care in Atlanta and in the United States. YMCA child care programs deliver a stimulating learning experience in a safe, secure environment and they foster growth and development in children as well as in their parents and families.
Camping — Camping programs are educational ones that promote spiritual awareness, mental development, physical well-being, social growth, and a respect for the environment. Through a variety of activities and the use of natural surroundings, YMCA summer day camps and outdoor education programs deliver quality camping experiences in a fun, wholesome environment.
Group Exercise - Yoga, Group Cycling, Water Aerobics, ZUMBA and more! Gymnastics - Your kids will "flip" over it! Classes for walking toddlers and up! Health and Wellness - New to exericse or looking for a change in your routine? Massage is also available for your more stressful days! Karate - Learn a traditional martial art that develps spirit, mind, and body while emphasizing personal improvment. Teen Programs - Teens learn how to become strong leaders in their community while meeting other teens. Youth Sports — Regardless of the sport or skill level, the focus is on the full and equal participation of all. The goal is for every child to play in every game. Win or lose, kids learn about self improvement, fitness, safety, sportsmanship, cooperation, self-esteem, and respect for others in a fun, learning environment. All coaches are volunteers. Parents are encouraged to assist in practices and games to promote the parent-child relationship. Programs include:
Community Outreach — These programs are a mix of social and human service programs designed to provide people with the skills required to participate in their personal, family and community lives. We offer programs for unemployed parents, juvenile youth, teen mothers, families, and at-risk youth. All programs are designed to develop self-reliance and self-sufficiency, life skills, career planning and development. Youth and Family Programs - While parents are working out, there are plenty of activities for kids! HAPPY Club — The YMCA offers programs and services to people of all abilities, including those with physical or mental disabilities. Racquetball - Three courts available! |
